Right now you’re #3 in itunes, but #1 in my book. This was almost a serious health podcast. Dr. Nima’s on point with the ginger.

Yeah… Asa and Dave seems to be quite good bullshit detectors on some shows. But this I have no clue why they believe.

There has been pheromones and quack”doctors” for ages now and there is still no studies or any fact at all that shows that it does anything. If Nima can post some proof about this stuff then sure but right now it’s just him saying stuff.

I don’t believe the “magic”machine either that can tell you how products are made. Yes there are machines that can tell you all the ingredients in something but there isn’t machines that can tell you exactly how to make Coke for example the cooking procedure etc. If there was then there would be about a million different coke brands that tastes _exactly_ the same which there isn’t.

I still enjoy the show as usual but there is as much proof for the stuff Nima says as there is about Asa’s astrology stuff(sorry Asa).

      For real.

I enjoyed the episode, but it was like watching Kevin Trudeau sell his Genie in a Bottle scam to fake hosts on late night TV. Absolutely preposterous.

I don’t doubt that Nima is probably a chill dude and a gracious host, but there’s so much quackery afoot that I’m disappointed in Dave for not seeing through the veneer. Pheromone marketing ads have festered on the interwebs, targeting dumb teenagers and even dumber adults, for as long as penis enlargement pills and porn itself have been around.

You’ve got this wondrous machine and a gang of super chemists that sounds like something out of an 80′s sci-fi teen movie. Great. Your technological capacities are essentially limitless, yet you can’t afford to advertize and you haven’t capitalized on any of it until now… okay. And you wanna set up shop and kickstart a line of health and beauty products, virtually on a whim, with a millionaire graffiti artist and a porn star on a free podcast.

      Bitch, please.

Since perfume has been discussed on the podcast, how many people even know that they contain toxic chemicals? The fragrance industry gets away with using toxic chemicals because of a trade secret clause.

    http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=toxic-perfumes-and-colognes

Toxic chemicals in fragrances aren’t limited to perfumes and colognes, they’re in ALL scented products.

Not the best episode, but its better than nothing.I am surprised that Redban has never been on the show yet. On a side note Zell should have a wishlist on the site for putting her self out there during the earlier episodes of the podcast.

    Live shows or recorded shows?

Live shows all the way. There was an extra layer of excitement during the Nov 2nd shows. The live interaction between the DVDASA cast and their followers on social media was very cool. It was great bullshitting with other fans on the message board while the live show was going on. I liked that when Dave talked about current events (LAX shooting for example), it really was current.

    DVDASA is a daring podcast.

DVDASA doing a live podcast is like taking cocaine and making crack.

The one thing about live is that there really is that feeling of not having a safety net. Whereas during the recorded shows, when one says something questionable, they have time to reflect and maybe do some damage control before that episode goes up. For the most part, the cast is usually relaxed and confident during the recorded podcasts. But some of the cast definitely looked a little more tense during certain parts of the live show. But that’s real and I appreciate that.

If DVDASA really wants to go to the next level, you guys need to seriously think about doing more live shows. Just my 2 cents.

While I’m also somewhat skeptical on the pheromones, I have seen crazier things that were true. Conceptually it makes sense, it’s just another plane of communication. For those saying pheromones are quackery, maybe they are right but on the other hand maybe the technology has advanced recently.

I’m looking forward to seeing the results of dvdasa crew’s testing. Here’s an idea: try to keep the testing as scientific as possible. Randomly select between the pheromones and a placebo before you go out, and try to keep the setting similar. Get someone good with statistics and testing to give some advice maybe :p

I’m happy to see a healthy dose of skepticism in the comment section for this episode! Dr. Nima seems to be a very nice guy and I really enjoyed him talking about the different words and phrases used in middle eastern countries. However, he lost me when he crossed over into the snake oil salesman territory. On a side not Asa was sooooo cute during the intro when she yelled “Let’s Go!”

I liked Nima, i think he was really personable and interesting. I’m naturally skeptical, just saying. I still kind of want to be friends with him though. Also I think B-Lee leaving was a good choice. Hopefully next time he’s on he’s in a better mood.

Episode 75 of DVDASA taught me that it is actually possible for David Choe to get “Lunched” on his own podcast.

I also learned as to why a member of this podcast has been slowly evolving to resemble a yellow version of a Grey extraterrestrial.

If this podcast goes live some psycho is likely to JFK the star of the show. Then you’ll have to change the “sensitive” part of the title to “slaughtered”. Nobody (perhaps with the exception of a couple beneficiaries, Canadian DJ’s, and/or fiduciaries ) wants that. 8(

Bobby Lee & Dave, you gotta stop with the ‘retard’ comments, down syndrome stories…. – you are both too old for that and makes you sound like bad people, sounds even worse coming from the mouths of the rich and famous than it would someone else.

Money- nice beat at the end of the show.

Asa- so you know, my mate who is trying to give up porn had to stop watching/listening to the show because you get him too horny just being you- so I dunno how truthful the listeners you meet are being. I bash one out to your porn on the regs too.

Nima dude was making a lot of bold claims, I’m sceptical.
