Absolutely! Dave, goddamit, let people talk, you are so stereotypical californian and just have to be the center of a conversation. Let people you are interviewing speak.

    • jf<span class="comment-author-location"> from Anaheim, CA, United States</span>

Dave has a way of really getting to the heart of the matter. He probes into an issue, and asks interesting questions that I really want to hear an answer to. Then he ruins it with this ‘predict the answer’ song and dance instead of letting the person answer. He does it with everyone, and it’s really exhausting. Not only is it rude and boring, it makes Dave come off as if he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else. Yoshi and Lisa Ling in the room make at least two people smarter than him in this case.

tl;dr – please stop trying to predict the answers to your own questions, Dave.

Chill on the interrupting. We know its the David show. But, whats the point of having guests’ if they can’t finish talking. Just pepper in your comments. Let the guests’ be the main course. Bit of a ridiculous rape conversation.

That’s like questioning if a female was really raped if they had an orgasm during the rape, when its pretty common.

      dude. wtf?

      • spam<span class="comment-author-location"> from Bronx, NY, United States</span>

It’s true that females can have an orgasm even when they’re raped. Despite the terrible circumstance she’s in, there’s physical stimulation to her clitoris; enough stimulation can set off pelvic muscle contractions that one experiences in orgasm. This is kind of an unconscious process, so unfortunately it’s out of the victim’s control.

Lisa Ling is a homie! DVDASALSA

    • jf<span class="comment-author-location"> from Anaheim, CA, United States</span>

The rape conversation missed the mark completely. It’s not about whether the genitals work or not, it’s about consent. Of course men can be raped! And anyway, no one brought up viagra, which will give you a hardon for hours no matter what the fuck is going on. Our culture overwhelmingly tells men that they should have sex all the time and that it’s good, so they just don’t seem to take it as seriously when it happens, however.

And to offset the interruption comments, let me throw in my thoughts on the matter. The beauty of this podcast is seeing how guests interact with the colorful, hardcore deviant regulars of the show. You think Dave is going to change how he talks because of a few internet comments? (maybe, but I hope not) Honest, dirty and unfiltered is just the way I like it.

I’m sorry, I really enjoy watching all of you guys, but David, you really need to stop interrupting your guests. I know you don’t do it CONSTANTLY and I’m not saying you’re doing it on purpose either, but you need to at least become a bit more aware of when you’re talking and when they’re talking or when they’re trying to talk.

I’m saying this from the perspective of someone who does what you do a lot too. I interrupt, not necessarily that I think what they’re saying is unimportant, but that I want to say something and O either don’t want to forget it, or say it before they go onto another point. I think you’re like me in that similarity.

If you didn’t change this I’d still be fine with it and enjoy the show and the cast, but I feel a bit embarrassed for you when I see someone being interrupted and missing the opportunity to say something important.

Dude, quit hating on David. He’s tight, the show was great. Don’t be jealous. One thing though… men hate on powerful women too! Not all men, but plenty are overly intimidated, and competitive. Maybe even more so than other women. It’s lonely to be a successful woman, straight-up.

    • oz<span class="comment-author-location"> from Salt Lake City, UT, United States</span>

I would say men have way more of a problem with rich or powerful women than women do. most women tend to support other women who do well, that’s where that saying “You go girl” comes from isn’t it? and all the feminist bullshit. In the past women mostly spent time in the kitchen, or at home taking care of the babies when men had to hunt, provide and protect. and now the world is getting all sorts of bizare, women make money doing all kinds of jobs and in some cases make more money than the guy and that puts the guy in a weird position. now she’s the alpha instead of him. and some dudes don’t mind being a beta in the relationship. we’ve all seen the couples where the girl treats the guy like shit, constantly tells him what to do and he just takes it like a bitch. and what’s even more strange is that this society generally acts like that’s normal and acceptable but when the man is the dominant one he’s a sexist douche. well there is a lot of double standard thinking in this world, nothing new, cuz most people are full of shit.

and you also have these freaks, these powerful men that enjoy being dominated and humiliated and they’re not financial losers. i think that’s the ego breaking down for a moment and a need to worship something is being expressed while the penis is trolling the mind. it’s probably also influenced with obsessive thoughts of some kind of inferiority and low self-esteem issues.

i liked the podcast dave it was great! to help with the answer of sexual abuse that lisa ling had about being erect, i was 4 when i was sexually abused and i wasnt erect. It was against my will obviously. After what had happened i remember having an abnormal feeling like i was physically dirty and i ran home as soon as i could washed my mouth out with dish soap. Now i never really let it affect me negatively, it did make me more self aware sexually at a younger age.i also never wanted to use that scenario as a crutch or excuse. really i could give a fuck about what happened years ago and it wouldnt make sense to bitch about it now. it’s interesting because i find myself feeling like the taxi driver “meh no big deal right! Who gives a shit” But i also feel Saber where it really is nobody’s business. I never really bring up the fact i was abused only if i was asked. but most people are afraid to offend. I just thought i should throw in my 2 cents

Amazing. I was about to take a shower and stripped down, but I got distracted by this episode and ended up watching the whole thing naked. It was fascinating to see her this side of her and actually participating in Dave’s hilarious questions. My mind has definitely become more open from this. I hope she returns for another episode, perhaps along with Asa this time. Great work, guys. Mad entertaining. Love the podcast.

It’s incredible that nobody has beaten that jashik David Choe to death yet.

It’s also amazing that Dave somehow managed to be that annoying while squandering that much time “interviewing” somebody like Lisa Ling.

Btw I’d be more than happy to throw a couple rape stares Lisa Ling’s way the next time I see her in Tokyo. As long as she’s not with Kelly Hu cuz I saw both of them at Velvet Room in K-town a couple years ago and Lisa Ling refused to make eye contact with me. That was a good show and I dont agree that Dave was badly interrupting compared to usually.

The topic that I’d like to comment on is the rape thing and guys/girls being aroused. It is actually common knowledge that most women get aroused against their will while being raped. Its not like normal sex where its arousing and psychologically feels great too, its more like its arousing but it feels like shit and shameful and a whole mixture of horrible emotions. But the mechanics of the sex make the girl wet because is stimulating physically and in part mentally because of the primal side of it. With that being said, if that counts as rape, and it does, men can also be raped by women even if they get a boner. The only difference is that usually (woman raping man), the man still has the ultimate ability to end it if he wished, if he is stronger than the woman. I dont think his dick would stay hard tho if the woman was overpowering the man physically. I know I lose my boner quickly when something happens and I need to stop fucking or jerking off (like hearing loud noises outside my house at 2 am..etc)

Wow. Really great Podcast. I loved the dialogue and the conversations between Lisa and Dave, they both were asking each other interesting questions. I can’t tell whether you two are very similar- or very different because it seems you both are so head on during conversation and are so in depth with what you’re talking about but on each one’s own subject. I can’t really explain it but overall, AWESOME and very entertaining. (:
